SHOCKER: I was scrolling through facebook the other day when my profile popped up listing my occupation as "content producer." WHAT? CONTENT PRODUCER? I. didn't wander through four major occupations during my life to be dumped into the Gen W (or whatever letter we're using currently) trash bin. It took some thought and what I came to was Artificial Intelligence searched my account and couldn't figure me out so used the lowest common denominator. After all, bottom line, isn't everyone a content producer? Well, I've been called many things in my life. One of my favorites was being introduced as an Alaskan eclectic. I like that a whole lot better than content producer. I even offered a choice at the top of my page: THAT uncle, former editor, author, boat captain, oil spill response consultant, Bush dweller, husband, father, granddad. Take your time AI, I'll wait. meanwhile I'm leaving it blank. But understanding nature abhors a vacuum, I'll be checking and laughing through the rest of my no-occupation retirement.
