You know it's cold when …

Today I posted a grouse photo and over the day came to realize I have posted other "you know it's cold" items. over the years and thought maybe worth putting together a list.

Here's one of my favorites: 

You Know it's cold when with arms full you nudge the door open with your head and your hat freezes to it. 

And, here's another, but no picture:

You know it's cold when you come indoors and take something out of the freezer to thaw for dinner and it feels warm in your hand.

And in the extreme, you know it's cold when you see  a grouse the size of a basketball.
